If the incident took place in a high street pharmacy, or a business providing services online, you should complain to the pharmacy business directly.
If you are not sure how to do this, you can:
- contact the pharmacy to ask how to make a complaint (all pharmacies must have a complaints procedure)
- contact the superintendent- all pharmacies must have a superintendent, who is the person responsible for making sure the pharmacy provides services safely. You can ask the pharmacy for the name and contact details of the superintendent.
If the incident took place in a hospital pharmacy or NHS pharmacy service, contact the reporting concerns service for the country where it happened.
For concerns about other health settings or services such as a hospital, clinic or care home in England, contact the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC is the independent regulator for health and social care in England.
