Dianne is Professor Emeritus in Molecular Nutrition at Northumbria University, where – until August 2024 – she held the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
She is a Co-opted Governor at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and a Fellow of the Physiological Society. Dianne collaborates with researchers in the UK and worldwide and has served on research and advisory panels for several funders. These include the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), for which she is currently Deputy Chair of BBSRC Research Committee A.
