GPhC seeks next Chief Executive and Registrar

The GPhC is seeking an outstanding individual to become its next Chief Executive and Registrar.

This follows the announcement that Duncan Rudkin, the current Chief Executive and Registrar, will step down from 31 December 2025.

This is one of the most significant leadership roles in healthcare regulation, responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and integrity of pharmacy services while enabling the profession to adapt and thrive. The Chief Executive provides strategic, operational and cultural leadership to a workforce of 300 colleagues, ensuring the GPhC is agile, inclusive, and financially sound. As Registrar, the postholder also fulfils vital statutory responsibilities under the Pharmacy Order 2010, including registration and fitness-to-practise.

Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as an employment agency advisor to the General Pharmaceutical Council on this appointment.
