Becoming a designated supervisor

Designated supervisors support trainee pharmacists to meet the standards expected of a pharmacist and deliver patient-centred care.

To become a designated supervisor, you will need to contact your national statutory education body (SEB):

  • NHS England in England
  • HEIW in Wales
  • NES in Scotland

These organisations deliver the pharmacist foundation training scheme.

You may find it helpful to read our guidance, which includes information about the regulatory requirements for supervising a foundation trainee.
